2021 cSPACE Artist incubator – first time projection mapping
A self-directed skill development program where I pursued projection mapping for the first time.
Theatre tech extraordinaire Tauran Wood showed me the ropes on QLab and I was off to the races.
As part of a cohort of artists from all disciplines, I was excited to have the opportunity to collaborate. I held an open call for existing tracks to develop visuals.
I ended up creating new and existing visuals to create a collage of sound and video on a 3-dimensional surface of spray painted moving boxes.

cSPACE also hosted marketing workshops with Micheal Dargie, which really helped me sit down and look at myself through my own marketing lens that I often reserved only for others. My website is an iteration based from the work I did with his workshops.
I was also privileged to be documented by the legendary Misha Maseka. She followed my progress with her camera and created a video snapshot of me and my work. This was the first time I’ve had someone look at me with such care.
This was a formative experience for me as an emerging artist beginning their journey. Thank you to the artists and administrators for being a part of it.
