BASK: A queer celebration
BASK is a durational projection mapping installation featuring different visual perspectives of queerness. Atmospheric visuals create a stage where audience members are invited to step inside, play, and bask in their own intersecting identities of queerness.

Artist Description:
Curated for the 2022 Sled Island Poster show, an annual staple for artists in Calgary. I got the opportunity to illustrate a poster for the legendary horrorcore rap artist BACKXWASH. Here is my interpretation of her through the music poster formula.
Inspiration: Corpsepaint, German expressionism and the Blair Witch Project
Process: Illusrated in Procreate on ipad, processed for a 2-colour silkscreen print at Burnt Toast Studio.

Artist Description: Looping geometrical animations that immersed artist and stage into one visual piece.

Luminous Laughter
2022. Calgary, AB
Client/Funder: MAUD Collective + Chinook Blast
Artist Description: A 3-way artist collaboration between myself (animation), Sara Slaughter (mural/illustration) and Melody Stang (music). These sprites “turn the lights on” in a collaborative and unexpected way.
Inspiration: Taking inspiration from M. C. Escher and stories of mischievous sprites that occupy the nooks and crannies of busy spaces.
Process: Illustration file imported into After Effects and animated for a 15 second loop.
